Clearing House Risk Management Consultant

Our Client is seeking a Clearing House Risk Management Consultant for a long-term contract position in Chicago, IL (5 Days Onsite) / W2 Only.
Candidate will be part of risk management team, which is broken down into 4 sub-groups, collateral risk, liquidity risk, market risk and credit risk.
This role is focused on regulatory work with Risk being 2nd.
Entire team is in Chicago hense looking for Chicago based local candidates only.
Candidate will be helping with Drafting and implementing new risk management policies and procedures and updating others.
Building presentation in PPT as they build out new policies and procedures.
Drafting of the policy and procedures themselves.
In corporate governance and cover all bases with the new policies.
Expert in MS Office suite as well as Google Suite would be the 2 most important things.
(Auxiliary background in risk management or compliance in a banking, FCM or exchange environment ).
Nice to have would be Bloomberg terminal but not required.
Familiarity with different financial regulations would be a big help.

Summary:
The Consultant role will be responsible for managing internal risk and regulatory documentation as it relates to risk policies, procedures, and methodologies.
The Consultant's primary responsibilities will be leading the drafting and implementation of new risk management policies and procedures while maintaining and updating existing documents.
The Consultant will work closely with the various Clearing House Risk teams and the internal policy and compliance teams to ensure all policies, procedures, methodologies, and models are compliant with client's rules and any applicable regulations.
The Consultant will also be expected to produce PowerPoint presentations and memos detailing updates and changes to policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and maintenance of risk management policies, procedures, and methodologies in line with clients established risk framework and regulatory requirements.
Produce presentations in PowerPoint on risk initiatives, projects, monitoring, polices, procedures, methodologies, etc.
Produce memos as needed to accompany PowerPoints.
Develop thoughtful, well-organized, and on-point analysis of pertinent risk, regulatory, and compliance issues.
Present analysis and other projects to senior management team at weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings.
Aid in the compliance of regulatory requirements through engagements with regulators and providing assistance in regulatory and third-party requests.
Work with other teams within clearing, product development, sales, treasury, and legal on analysis and Clearing projects and broader risk initiatives.
Compose and communicate key industry and market news and developments and their potential impact on client.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of risk documents and frameworks and how they relate to each other and various other Clearing House departments.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change.
Ability to work independently, accurately, and to meet deadlines.
Must work well in a team environment.
Familiar with exchange and/or financial institution compliance and risk policies.
Familiar with Google suite.
Self-motivated professional.
Work
Experience:
5-7 years' experience at an FCM, Bank, Exchange, or related entity in a risk function or similar.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or other related field.
