Job Description:
The Portfolio Analyst will report to the Head of Product Management and assist with overseeing the investment operations of Volatility Shares' sub-advisor, which is responsible for the daily portfolio management and trading of the funds. The role will also involve managing relationships with key service providers, including FCMs, brokers, market makers, and fund accountants by responding to inquiries and providing general support. Essential Job Functions:
Develop, maintain, and operate internal portfolio models to reconcile against sub-advisor's trading activity in the funds Support the sub-advisor by providing guidance on investment policy and decisions Collaborate with internal team and sub-advisor to improve efficiency of daily portfolio rebalances and reduce transaction costs Interface with market makers and other market participants, and respond to inquiries on funds' strategies and operational processes Monitor fund compliance with various regulatory requirements Assist in the supervision of key service providers, including the sub-advisor, FCMs, brokers, fund accounting, and custody Evaluate secondary market trading of Volatility Shares' ETFs Perform fund performance attribution and reconciliation against fund accounting records Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong analytical and quantitative skills Extensive experience utilizing Microsoft Excel to build/operate models and design processes Knowledge of the innerworkings of custodial banks and the interactions between fund accounting, custody, investment advisor, and sub-advisor In depth understanding of the mechanics of ETFs:
creation/redemption process, tracking a benchmark, IIV/IOPV, premium/discount, etc. Fundamental understanding of derivatives like futures, options, and swaps At least a basic understanding of coding, ideally VBA Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal preferred Required Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree 2 to 5 years of work experience in portfolio management, trading, post trade operations, or other investments related area Progress towards the CFA designation is a plus Recommended Skills Analytical Derivatives Investments Mechanical Engineering Microsoft Excel Portfolio Management Apply to this job.
