Shipping Supervisor
The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
This includes supervising warehouse staff, ensuring efficient and safe practices, maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating order fulfillment, and implementing measures to enhance operational performance.
The shipping supervisor plays a key role in enforcing safety regulations, conducting training programs, and collaborating with other departments to optimize overall warehouse efficiency.
Effective communication, leadership and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Ensure compliance with regulations related to food handling and storage.
Enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety training, and maintaining a secure work environment.
Coordinate order picking and shipping activities to meet distribution schedule.
Monitor and optimize order accuracy and on-time delivery.
Overseeing the maintenance and usage of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Collaborating with other departments, such as procurement, logistics and transportation to optimize supply chain processes.
Utilizing data to analyze warehouse performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies.
Other duties as assigned such as assisting all operations departments when needed.
High School graduate or GED equivalent.
Able to read, write, and speak English language.
1 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
Ability to learn and interpret GCFD product stock codes on shipping documents.
Ability to supervise and coach shipping team.
Possess Food Sanitation Certificate or be capable of obtaining certificationBasic mathematical skills.
General understanding of Word, Excel and Ceres 4 software.
Excellent verbal and communication skillsExcellent written communication skills for preparing correspondence and procedures documentsExposure:
Normal warehouse environment including freezer and refrigerated environments.
