Ready to join in? We are looking for a full-time Office Coordinator to support the Outpatient in the Home Physical Therapy team.
The position will be based at the Orthopedic Building in Chicago, IL near the medical district.
The potential candidate will be responsible for various administrative tasks at the office.
Candidate must provide professional, friendly, and outstanding customer service to all patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Professionally answering phones, scheduling appointments, completing administrative processing (authorizations and verifications) and reports and recordkeeping.
Works closely with physical therapy staff, referring physician, office staff, and outside agencies to develop positive and open communication.
Maintains patient confidentiality regarding medical records per company policies and procedures and assures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
Timely processing, distribution, and tracking of all documentation to physicians for signature.
Obtain and verify insurance eligibility for new and returning patients.
Attend to all incoming calls in a helpful manner.
Respond to client inquiries and needs in a polite and timely manner.
Handle cancellations and assist with rescheduling appointments.
Managing the communication of patient progress to physicians, nurse case managers, adjusters, and attorneys via fax, email, or phone.
Supporting the OPITH Manager with daily operations Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
Demonstrate and promote superior customer service skills.
Strong computer and telephone skills, Microsoft Office experience required.
Demonstrate knowledge of effective scheduling and scheduling software systems.
Knowledge of healthcare insurance is a plus.
Ability to multi-task Demonstrate workplace professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
