Corporate Procurement Intern (Year-Round)

Description The Corporate Procurement team is currently seeking a year-round intern, part-time throughout the school year and full-time during breaks. Corporate Procurement's purpose is to support stakeholders with purchasing products/services that fulfill our business needs and drive savings. Our team members oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, including but not limited to, supplier relationship management, contract review and negotiation, purchase order creation, and much more. This intern will assist the Corporate Procurement team members, specifically our Services team, with day-to-day activities and on special projects. Our goal is to integrate our intern with all facets of the purchasing process to gain meaningful knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities:
Work and communicate with business stakeholders and suppliers Assist in supplier contract and purchase order creation in Workday Support negotiations by analyzing renewal pricing and comparing bids Work on special projects (RFPs, process improvements, supplier diversity, etc.) Develop understanding of key products and business functions within CME Group Skills / Software Requirements:
Analytical, organized and detail oriented Self-motivated and curious individual Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal Effective problem solving skills Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Education:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree Prefer majors in Finance, Business Management or Supply Chain/Procurement Minimum GPA of 3.0 Location & Hours:
Internship is local to Chicago, IL (able to travel to office located at 20 S. Wacker Dr.) Up to 40 hours per week with a hybrid flexible work schedule CME Group:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
