How does this role contribute to our collective success?This position requires prospecting for new Managing General Underwriters (MGUs) and programs and managing existing MGU relationships.
This individual develops, reviews, evaluates, and manages complex Accident & Health Specialty programs from Managing General Underwriters (MGU's).
This includes assessing risk and working with Underwriting to set underwriting parameters for MGUs/Program Managers, including rates and coverage levels.
What will you do in this role?Develop new and maintain producer/program relationships.
Review and evaluate complex Accident and Health new business opportunities/programs and case submissions with Underwriting to determine risk acceptability and coverage levels.
Work closely with MGUs/Program Managers to obtain additional information to determine our new or renewal position.
Work with internal operations to on-board new MGUs/Programs and modify existing MGUs/Programs.
Work with Underwriting to achieve targeted loss ratios by maintaining underwriting discipline through the underwriting selection and renewal process.
Acts as liaison between internal functional departments and external vendorsEnsure digital files are maintained per AXIS Insurance procedures, including but not limited to proper documentation, structure, and authorizations.
You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities, and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

What you need to have:
College degree or equivalent work experienceAt least five (5) years of Accident and Health experience with an insurance carrier or an MGU/Program ManagerThree to five (3-5) years of experience working with and overseeing MGAs/MGUs or Program ManagersAt least at least three (3) years of Program Management experienceMarket Segment Knowledge:
Leisure Travel, Amateur Sports, K-12 Student, Leisure and Entertainment, First Responders, Volunteer Organizations, and Occupational Accident/Non-Subscriber business.
Product knowledge:
Accident Medical Expense, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Out of Country Medical Insurance, Trip Cancellation/Interruption.
Strong Sales SkillsA&H and P&C License (not required but good to have)Strong Project Management SkillsStrong presentation skillsStrong financial acumenExcellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated communication skills to interact well with Senior Management & external partnersWhat we prefer you to have:

We currently expect to offer a base salary of $140k-$170k for this position.
Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of various factors, including your specific experience and work location.
In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
