VP, Client Development

Our US team is hiring a VP role (dependent on experience / seniority) to join our new Client Development practice.
Reporting to the SVP, Client Development, this role will work within our broader Client organization with a focus on growth strategy and development of existing customers and relationships.
This person will need to have diverse experience across the agency and production landscape, senior presence and an ability to work across research, strategy, creative, live action, post, branding and graphic design, digital production, experiential and end to end social.
The LowdownYou will work with the client teams to develop strategies for their portfolio accounts, across the year.
This is North America focused, but we have many pan-regional relationships which you may need to support.
You will develop close relationships with key existing clients, become highly familiar with their businesses and the challenges/goals within, and be able to add value towards those goals.
You will review and create reports around our Development activities.
You will have excellent relationships with our Account teams; understanding the boundaries and complementary aspects of the respective roles, and partnering to strategize and deliver on client growth plans.
You will demonstrate excellent client communication, presentation and writing skills.
You will lead or co-lead pitches, opportunities and client comms for new workstreams and opps for existing clients, and for larger scale efforts, support the VP or SVP in the Client Development.

You need to be able to work well writing a growth strategy, curating a deck including cases, and presenting on our suite of services.
You will be proactive; we are a complex organization and we do a lot of things.
You will need relationships with those key internal stakeholders and instant familiarity with their bodies of work.
You collaborate with producers and project managers to ensure smooth and seamless hand off.
Good understanding of their work, processes and needs.
You need to think in a PlusOne mentality; one more brand, one more market, one more project type, incremental, adjacent growth strategy.
Work with client teams to identify new touchpoints with our regular clients; how to engage with more senior audiences, key events and conferences we may attend, PR/comms and how to engage on panels, awards etcRequirements:
Our ideal Client Development VP is a hybrid / unicorn of experience.
They may be from an account, production, strategy or BD/sales background, preferably a mix of those.
You may not consider yourself a sales person as such - this is organic growth and not heavy on outbound sales and cold prospecting.
Years of experience are open.
We will consider all attractive candidates with varying degrees of experience, but 5
minimum.
Your experience could be brand-side, or production house - ideally from a major creative, digital or branding agency, or digital production studio.
Excellent client facing skills, with significant understanding of the production process.
Open-minded, patient, respectful of others work and boundariesYour production knowledge ranges across social content, posts, high quality animation and illustration, digital ad campaigns, apps and e-comm platforms leading digital projects from proposal to an actual product.
You re a closer , experienced in engaging new projects, managing business relationships, and developing partnerships.
You have demonstrated leadership experience in a business development capacity in a previous role, with demonstrated success in strategic account development.
You can handle high-stakes conversations; business performance, what is not working, how can we listen, absorb and respond according to brand and customer needs foremost.
You are a proactive problem solver.
You don t think in projects but in partnerships, developing client relationships and workstreams based on real business problems and solutions.
Based in a key strategic market, New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles preferably, but candidates in Chicago and other key metros may be considered.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
