Mobile Development Manager

OverviewYou will be part of a growing team specializing in a retail and institutional multi-asset trading platform called StoneX One (stonexone.
com).
StoneX One is looking for an React Native Engineering Manager to lead the design, development and implementation of our mobile trading application.
You will hire and manage a team of full stack mobile engineers whose goal will be to deliver high-quality software that is aligned with customer needs and business goals.
Reporting to the Head of Self-Directed Equities you will be a key leader in executing our technology strategy and taking the lead on lean agile projects, ensuring projects are completed up to quality standards and on time.
You will be responsible for the technical excellence and approach taken by team members, including providing guidance and oversight, planning and monitoring work schedules, managing capacity, analyzing software performance and configuration systems, ensuring peer code reviews and documentation, and managing the deployment and integration of new software in alignment with technology standards.
You will collaborate with product manager teams to plan, scope, develop and deploy solutions, continuously iterating to ensure that new features are adding value to our customers.
You should be comfortable conducting design and code reviews within the engineering team and leading and vetting designs across partner technical teams with business leaders.
You should be able to get into the details of our solutions, guide implementation, and take ownership of team s output.
You will also be required to take on write and contribute to the code base as the schedule permits in sprints.
As the React Native Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the design, development, and delivery of trading applications that meet the specific needs of our clients in the financial industry.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers, to ensure the successful execution of StoneX One.

ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of React Native developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
Lead the software development life cycle (SDLC) for the team including planning, analysis, code design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenanceDirect the team s activities, implementing engineering standards, best practices, and quality assurance proceduresWork closely with product owners/managers to understand product requirements and translate them into technical specifications and a roadmap for the development teamProvide technical knowledge and insight to help the team analyze complex requirements and break down features and initiatives into tasksOwn the team s output, taking responsibility for the quality of the applications as well as its alignment with technology and product goalsReview and give constructive feedback on code and performance; implement a culture of peer code reviews and transparencyIdentify recurring issues and opportunities to improve engineering processManage the integration of software solutions along with monitoring and supporting tools to ensure the team s software works well in its operating environmentActively participate in strategic decision-making with senior management regarding technology solutions and platform architectureAllocate resources, manage workloads and performance to drive team efficiencies and adhere to project timelinesRecruit, mentor and manage high performing software engineering teamsCoordinate with backend engineers and API developers to ensure seamless integration between the mobile app and server-side components.
Collaborate with designers to ensure a consistent and intuitive user experience across different mobile platforms.
Monitor and track the performance of mobile applications, identifying and addressing any performance bottlenecks or stability issues.
Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and frameworks in the mobile development space, and advocate for their adoption when appropriate.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and innovation within the mobile development team.
Qualifications10
years software engineering experience, primarily in react native.
4
years of experience in a Team lead or Manager role, including hiring and managingBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Impeccable attention to detail with an eye toward great UX/UIExpert knowledge experience in mobile app development, with expertise in React Native framework.
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing a team of mobile developers.
In-depth knowledge of iOS and Android platforms, including platform-specific UI/UX considerations, performance optimization, and debugging.
Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, and relevant front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
Expert with mobile app deployment processes, including App Store and Google Play Store guidelines and requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira or Trello.
Knowledge of version control systems like Git for code management.
