Summary:
The role of the Cat Caf Barista is to create a warm and inviting environment for cat cafe customers.
In this position, you will craft high-quality espresso drinks for our Cat Cafe visitors and will have the opportunity to connect with our Cafe guests while creating a memorable experience for them.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Prepare coffee, tea, and other drinks to customers' specifications.
Complete sales transactions on the point-of-sale system.
Create a warm and inviting caf atmosphere for customers to engage with shelter cats and enjoy their beverages.
Maintain the cleanliness of our cat colony in-between appointments.
Flexibility in accommodating guests in various situations.
Clean and sanitize caf equipment to manufacturer's specifications.
Stock and inventory caf products and supplies, keeping stock sheet up to date weekly.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Work with volunteers to promote the cat cafe experience and provide information and guidance as customers enter the lounge.
Organization of retail area, stocking, facing merchandise, and general cleaning.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
Prior experience in restaurants or coffee shops preferred Interest in and knowledge of coffee and beverage serving and sales.
Obtaining the City of Chicago Food Sanitation Certificate within 60 days of hire.
Knowledge of basic mathematics and measurements.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
