8 Chicago, IL Chicago, IL $20 an hour $20 an hour 12 hours ago 12 hours ago 12 hours ago POSITION SUMMARY The Mobile Van Patient Service Representative is responsible for processing and updating patient's information, scheduling appointments and organizes the administrative functions of the Mobile Van to ensure a proper and efficient process as possible.
The Patient Service Representative must greet all patients and clients in a professional manner.
This position requires that the Patient Service Representative is comfortable working with all age groups in a non-traditional environment which requires that you are working in a mobile van that travels throughout the Chicagoland area.
Reliable transportation is a must, and this position requires you to work some weekends.
The person chosen for this position has proven to be reliable, organized, and dependable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to the following); Obtain consent for treatment Organize and maintain paperwork to ensure regulatory compliance Assist School Based Coordinator with administrative tasks as directed Ensure all documents are completed according to policy and regulatory guidelines Assist with supply ordering and management Maintain records necessary for report completion Complete reports as required using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Adheres to TCA's mission and core values.
Check-In Greets patients and visitors, determining their needs, and directs them accordingly.
Provide new patient's information sheets and ensure completeness and accuracy.
Processing necessary documentation with reference to registration, insurance verification and initial fee collection and routing to the appropriate clinic, personnel and/or department.
Verify patient's insurance status in the system and proficient in the use of One Source.
Assists clients in the completion of necessary forms for registration and medical records requests.
Ensures the client receives quality and professional customer service throughout the duration of their visit.
Telephone Management Proper telephone etiquette must be practiced at all times.
Handles incoming phone calls; answers questions, gives information, directs calls and takes messages.
Return all messages by next business day.
Appointment Scheduling Schedule and retrieve patient appointments Cancels and reschedules appointments as necessary.
Print appointment schedules for provider check-off as needed Prep charts as necessary Check-Out Schedule patient's next appointment if needed Maintain client confidentiality Follow up with administrators as directed Finalize paperwork as needed Ensure paperwork is complete and organized Input any data for future reports Miscellaneous Duties Takes the initiative to find ways to improve the Mobile Van:
1) improve efficiency; and 2) improve customer service.
Back-up front office by helping them with their workload in emergency situations as directed by manager Capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with administrators, patients, parents, staff, and providers EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School or G.

Experience in customer service and medical billing required Knowledge of Athena computer software, preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

WORKING CONDITIONS The average workday will consist of working on a mobile van which may at times be noisy and slightly cramped.
Due to weather conditions, your work space may be inside of different non-traditional settings (school, church, etc.
).
You will use your personal car to travel to events.
Occasionally you will work in a normal office and health center environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
