Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for tracking, managing, and reporting on the project's overall budget and schedule
- Responsible for providing project updates to the Owner
- Prepare weekly work assignments to ensure efficient use of resources
- Review drawings, specifications, narratives, and supplemental information for completeness and clarity and compile questions and comments related to the project's scope of work
- Provide project management oversight for the design team, contractor, and other project team members
- Monitoring the performance of all project team members and ensure they are meeting their contractual obligations and expectations
- Oversee the project team to ensure each individual's role is being performed at a high level
- Evaluate and negotiate costs for material, equipment, and labor
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal/professional networks, and participating in professional societies
- Negotiation of project team members' contracts and agreements
- Develop, manage, and lead clients through the Request for Proposal (RFP) process
- Managing project close-out process and ensuring a proper handoff to the facility management teams
- Manage furniture, fixture, and equipment (FFE) procurement
- Support the client to help ensure a positive experience through the project
- Commitment to excellence personally and professionally
Profile
A successful candidate:
- 5
years of experience in Construction Project Management with residential project experience - Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
- Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical.
- Working knowledge of construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
- Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
Job Offer
- A competitive base salary between $100,000-$130,000 (Depending on Experience)
- Competitive bonus structure, project/profit based. Typically between $8,000-$15,000 in the first year)
