What You'll Do:
Use a high degree of independent judgement, responsible for directing, managing, planning and administering the operational and administrative activities associated with the implementation and ongoing support of Middleware integration technologiesPrimary Duties and
Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
Develop strategic directions and technologies for MiddlewareTranslate middle and senior management directives into workable policiesMonitor project status and take remedial action on projects behind schedule and/or over budgetInstall, configure and maintain 3rd party software components classified as middleware on multiple operating system platforms.
Use subject matter expertise with products to advise on design and assist with development of applications using these tools.
Configure production, development and testing environments and ensure the availability of these application servicesWrite complex automation scripts using common automation tools, such as Jenkins and AnsibleProvide performance tuning of components and servicesDesign disaster recovery solutions for middleware technologies to comply with business continuity objectivesResolve configuration related problemsResolve complex support issues in both production and non-production environments.
Assist production support and development staff in debugging middleware application defects.
Create procedural and troubleshooting documentation related to middleware productsParticipate in or lead moderately or high complex projects.
Properly secure middleware technologiesAdvise on industry best practices as it relates to new product selection.
Manage day to day activities of the middleware staff when called upon to do so.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Direct work of staff and conduct appropriate personnel actions (hiring, promotions, terminations, etc.
) when necessaryCommunicate and advise staff on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods and software change issuesPrepare and conduct employee reviews as well as monitors progress to satisfy employee and management goalsPromote employee development by conducting career-planning sessions and scheduling employee training classes, conferences and seminars Ensure that proper funding is added to the department budget

Experience:
