JOB DESCRIPTION The Data & Analytics Engineer will play a key role in leading the firm s data strategy and designing the implementation of data processes across the organization.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and shape the direction of transformative projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ROLEResponsible for leading the firm s data strategy in support of internal / external reporting and data analyticsContribute to the logical and physical data design, with focus on establishing the Antares Domain Model, our enterprise ontology for representing data in our businessDesign and support the implementation of data management processes including our data in transit approach, establishing architecture and design for data integrations across firm s ecosystem from operating platforms through Operational Data Stores and the firm s Data WarehouseBe a leader in our future state as we implement industry leading ML / AI solutions to optimize our businessQUALIFICATIONSDepth in data modeling and database design, requires foundational skills across all phases of data modeling, from conceptualization to database optimization, experience should also extend to SQL development and perhaps database administration.
Foundation in systems development:
the data architect should understand the system development life cycle; software project management approaches; and requirements, design, and test techniques.
The data architect will be asked to conceptualize and influence application and interface projects, and therefore must understand what advice to give and where to plug in to steer toward desirable outcomes.
Expertise in Financial Markets and Investment Strategies:
Understanding of financial markets, investment types, and portfolio management strategies.
This knowledge is essential to design data systems that cater to financial analysis, risk assessment, and investment decision-making processes.
Experience with Regulatory Compliance and Data Security:
Familiarity with the regulatory environment of the financial industry, including GDPR, MiFID II, and other relevant regulations.
Experience designing data architectures that ensure compliance and protect sensitive financial information against unauthorized access and breaches.
Strong Communication and Leadership Skills:
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to lead projects, mentor other team members, and collaborate across departments to ensure that the data architecture aligns with the company s goals and strategies.
Breadth in established and emerging data technologies:
In addition to depth in established data management and reporting technologies, Preferred experience in emerging tools like columnar and NoSQL databases, predictive analytics, data visualization, and unstructured data.
Ability to conceive and portray the big picture:
Initiates, evaluates, and influences projects he or she does so from the perspective of the entire organization.
Ability to map the systems and interfaces used to manage data, sets standards for data management, analyzes current state and conceives desired future state, and conceives projects needed to close the gap between current state and future goals.

Must be willing to work from an Antares office and travel as necessary.
New York City Only:
salary ranges are specific to market location; the salary range for this position is USD $160,000 to $200,000 and eligible for annual bonus.
