OverviewGILBANE has an opportunity for a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Director to support our Federal Business Unit.
The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Director coordinates and oversees implementation of the company QUality Assurance and Quality Control Programs and serves as the functional leader for QC personnel.
This job can be located anywhere there is a major Gilbane Building Company office in the continental United States.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update, as needed, the documented company QC program to maintain compliance with industry and Federal government QC requirementsServe as point of contact with the Division for the Government entities on QA/QC practices, questions, topics and issuesServe as Functional leader of QC personnel in a matrix organization serving projects globally, assigning only qualified individuals to each project; including vetting proposed QCM personnel assignments to assure contract qualifications are met, and to issue appointment lettersManage and maintain a robust Quality Audit program for Federal projects; including working with projects when Non-Compliance reports are received to assure cogent and appropriate responses are craftedProvide streamlined project-specific QC plan templates for prime IDIQ contracts that comply with contract requirementsReview and approve project-specific QC Plans; including establishing QC Program early start-up and close-out processes and monitoring metricsInterface with Business Unit and Operations Management on QC needs and program implementationCoordinate and work with Corporate QA personnel to achieve integrated programs to the extent possibleCoordinate and Conduct training for project Quality Control Managers for the three phase Quality ProcessCreate training material to incorporate Company s operational procedures and software tools to the existing quality program.

Experience:
4 Year degreeMinimum 15 years of experience in industry, with at least ten (10) years of US Department of Defense (DoD) quality control management experience (as a contractor)American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification as Quality Auditor or Manager of Quality/Organizational ExcellenceUSACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors training certification preferredOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
