Sales Manager - Coatings/Packaging

JOB SUMMARY

The primary focus of this role is to drive sales of our sustainable coating solutions for fiber-based substrates within the packaging market. As an integral member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and delivering customized solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the packaging industry.
  2. Identify and prospect potential customers, including packaging manufacturers, converters, brand owners, and other stakeholders in the supply chain.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for their coating solution needs.
  4. Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical seminars to educate customers on the benefits of our sustainable coating solutions.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and support throughout the sales process.
  6. Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and positioning.
  7. Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and contracts, negotiating terms and closing deals in a timely manner.
  8. Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management, tracking progress against targets and identifying areas for improvement.

Other Functions


  1. Works with external marketing and advertising partners to ensure company and brand awareness.
  2. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and assignments at one time.
  3. Must be able to work independently.
  4. Daily contact with co-workers, management, third party vendors and customers requiring courtesy, discretion and sound judgment. Employee understands they are a representative of the employer.
  5. Will be required to perform all other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Desired Minimum Qualifications


  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably within the packaging or coatings industry.
  3. Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to understand and communicate complex coating solutions to diverse audiences.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with customers at all levels.
  5. Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  6. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (percentage of travel required may vary).
  7. Passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility, with a genuine interest in driving positive change within the packaging industry.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
