Staff Accountant

Key Accountabilities



  • ARYZTA NA is looking to attract a staff accountant to assist in the reporting for fixed assets and other general accounting support. The successful candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge and a commitment to accuracy and completeness of financial data. Responsibilities to include support for United States and Canadian operations.


Responsibilities



  • Assists in maintaining the fixed assets general accounting system

  • Recording of fixed asset and depreciation journal entries

  • Assists in the month-end closing process related to fixed assets

  • Assists in ensuring that depreciation is calculated in accordance with Company guidelines

  • Ensures a strong internal control environment and Swiss ICS legislation compliance

  • Supports and participates in special projects as assigned



  • Any other duties required to successfully execute this role


Required Skills

Skills, Experience & Qualifications



  • 0 ‚€“ 1 years of relevant accounting experience

  • Bachelor‚€™s Degree in Accounting or related field

  • SAP experience is a plus

  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP



  • Ability and willingness to dig into details



  • Be comfortable in a fast paced growth environment with an appropriate balance of urgency and quality

  • Excellent communication skills ‚€“ both oral and written

  • Focus on continuous improvement, quality and performance management

  • Some overtime/weekend time may be required to meet deadlines

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
