Senior Java Web Services Product Developer

Fortune 500 Financial Services Organization is seeking a Senior Java Web Services Product Developer.

In this role you will be empowered to translate our platform-based Consumer product strategy into highly functional, modular and high performing code-think services and APIs.

You will develop code all day, every day on a full stack cloud platform, leveraging test driven development and continuous delivery.

To help you grow, teach others and maximize productivity you will work in a paired programming environment that is highly structured.


Qualifications:

  • 5 years of software development experience
  • Experience developing web services and APIs
  • Experience designing applications-in many interations you will not receive a full spec and will need to feel comfortable thinking things through, filling in the blanks and iterating across sprints as we receive feedback from customer interactions.
  • Experience with IoT is a plus
  • You play well with others and have well developed communication skills.
  • This is a paired programming environment so you have to be ready to be part of a team.
  • You have experience and/or interest in Test Driven Development and Agile methodologies
  • You are proficient in at least 1 programming language, preferably more.
    Java J2EE is our core so you need to be willing to get up to speed.
  • You will be pairing with other developers and need to understand code well enough to ask good questions.
  • You have a clear understanding of cloud services, deployment models and distributed systems.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
