Python Software Developer
Requisition Number KSG-164329SD Post Date 4/12/2017 Title Python Software Developer City Chicago State IL Description As a Software Developer, you will support the design and development of applications that originate primarily from the predictive modeling environment. Contribute to the improvement of the existing analytics and data infrastructure by suggesting and applying tweaks to existing processes Write code, conduct script and design reviews, unit test and sign off on technical specifications including design documents and requirements. Integrate data from various sources such as Oracle databases, SAS files and flat file formats. Provide maintenance support once the application is live in addition to defect resolutions.
Position Requirements:
Experience with Python version 2; familiarity with PyQt, Scikit-learn, and Pandas a plus
Experience with SQL for data manipulation, SAS, or R a plus
Advanced knowledge of GIT and branching patterns to support parallel development of multiple releases
Proven ability to work with a team from diverse educational and experience backgrounds
Undergraduate degree or higher in a quantitative field required: computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, etc
A background of collaborating with data science/ predictive analytics areas preferred
