PositionSummary


The VicePresident, Solutions Development will oversee the development, implementation,and testing of new application solutions that drive significant value for HUB. Reporting to the CIO, this leader will overseea team of approximately 35 business, technical solution, and integrationexperts along with a technical management staff. This leader will develop a businessapplication roadmap that supports the value growth for HUB along with theoverall technology vision. In addition,the leader will be a key team member that will drive the cultural, technology,and delivery transformation of the IT organization.





Responsibilities:



  • Oversee thedesign, development and implementation of high quality solutions that supportHUB's business strategy and drive significant value for HUB. Ensure these solutions deliver the scope ofcapability defined within the timeframes and budget established at projectcommencement.

  • Working with theVP, Architecture and Design, deliver solutions that support our technologyarchitectural principles and roadmap.

  • Ensure theoverall application portfolio is integrated in a fashion that provides aseamless experience for HUB customers and associates.

  • Maintain ongoingpartnerships with the business to truly understand the business strategy andobjectives across a complex distributed environment. Translate business strategy, operations andpriorities to establish the application portfolio roadmap taking intoconsideration the market for insurance application solutions as well ascompetitor application portfolios.

  • Benchmark thecompany against world class companies to drive best practices. Drivethe mindset of business excellence for new solution development andimplementation.

  • Work closely with a diverse set of business partners and act as anagent of change. Set the vision andprovide consistent feedback on mid-to-long term plans to ensure the roadmap isaligned with the business strategy. Ensure that the company moves with velocity, quality and purpose toachieve strategic and financial goals.

  • Recruit, coachand mentor a world-class, agile solutions development team. Provide clear direction, encourageprofessional development, and motivate the team to achieve success. Reinforce the cultural principles of HUB andset the leadership tone for the team.


IdealFunctional and Business
Experience:



  • Proven track record leading technology development organizations ingeographically dispersed locations.

  • Minimum 15 years of information technology experience in roles ofincreasing complexity.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.Demonstrates creativity and innovation in problem solving and applyingappropriate methodologies relevant to the complexity of the challenge.

  • Significant change management experience is required. Comfort in high growth, turnaround ortransformational environments focused on delivering top line and bottom lineresults would be helpful.

  • Demonstrable leadership and business partnering skillsdriving large scale programs.Possesses the gravitas to encourage healthy debate, outlining new andinnovative ideas, and building support through his/her evangelist and businessskills.

  • Knowledge of the financial services and/or the insurance industry. Experience working in a private equity backedcompanies is ideal.

  • Foundational experience in a well-managed,process oriented, financially and metric driven company. An ability to apply best-in-classmethodologies to a legacy environment is crucial.

  • Experience scaling operations to support M&A activities. An understanding of how to create anapplication portfolio that supports an acquisitive business model is ideal.

  • Past experience working in a hightransaction, Omni-channel business is important. Exposure to a customer focused, high endservices business model and past experience leveraging process improvementefforts to deliver a differentiated customer experience is preferred.

  • Experience collaborating withinternal and external resources to develop strategies that meet departmentgoals within budget and established timelines and working with all facets of ITinfrastructure and IT operations.

S/he should be organized, structured and diligent in settingtime-bound objectives and navigating roadblocks and eliminating barriers tosuccessful attainment of those objectives.

  • Team Leadership thatis able to attract and develop a highly skilled team. Ability to flex in styleto bring out the best in people with different backgrounds and working styles,while unifying them in purpose, role clarity, and expectations related todeliverables. Must have a passion for the mandate and instill that passionwithin his/her team while also promoting the highest standards of ethics andcompliance.

  • Collaboration and Influencing as demonstrated by his/her ability to build meaningfulrelationships in a large enterprise across functions, levels and geographicborders. Must be skilled in communicating complex ideas and must be open toideas from others.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
