Associate Intern Artist Creative Services
Job
Summary:
Assist Game Development art-support teams in defining and refining the creative vision of several products, during all phases of production. Work with senior team members to service global development teams through timely execution of a variety of tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
Support digital asset management and archive initiatives
o Locate, organize, meta-tag, and catalogue digital art assets (PSD, AI, AE, FLA, BMP, PNG, MNG files)
o Assist Multimedia Artists and Tech Artists with art preparation
Organize and update internal information sources with subject matter experts
o Internal Brand Style Guide creation/updates
o Archive/clean up games' network folders
o Create/update internal Wiki pages (Confluence)
Under direction perform art and graphic design tasks as required
o Create interface art
o Create game-play information screens (Pays/Help)
o Create translated versions of Pays/Help and in-game content
No foreign-language experience required
o Design game screen layouts
o Light Photoshop duties
Cabinet mock-ups
Images for PowerPoint presentations
o Create font atlases
Work independently and efficiently
Maintain a professional attitude and work ethic
Track time spent on projects, alerting management team to potential delays
Create high-quality artwork and/or graphic design as needed
Develop and utilize basic skills in Photoshop, After Effects, Flash, and Illustrator experience preferred
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old
Education:
Associate Degree in Art or Animation or equivalent coursework
Required
Experience:
0-6 months previous experience as an Artist or Production Assistant
Preferred
Experience:
Understanding of Flash, Illustrator, After Effects
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Proficiency in Photoshop
o Illustrator, After Effects, and Flash experience preferred
Web Design or Page Layout experience preferred
Deep understanding of networks, file management, and layer/file organization
Experience working in a team environment (preferred)
Excellent customer service (retail or freelance experience preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office software
Physical Requirements: Working on a computer.
Work Conditions: Office environment.
