Job Description:
The individual will field or assist in the testing and reporting of architecture and solutions, modifications and upgrades for HQ USMEPCOM. In addition, the candidate will be required to serve as a subject matter expert/TIER 3 expert in the assigned area of responsibility. The individual must be familiar with quality assurance testing and concepts, and technologies validation and reporting. The candidate must have familiarization with the testing of engineering, administration, and securing of various hardware and software solutions and applications.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: 5 years of IT experience in Quality Assurance Analysis and Testing
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II (Security ) certification and associated CE certificate
Possess Certified Software Test Professional certification
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Experience: 5 years of IT experience in Quality Assurance Analysis and Testing
5 years in the following testing areas:
Test tool automation experience
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Create, maintain and automate test scripts for operations
Defect tracking for software lifecycle management
Evaluate and report test results to ensure that operationally effective, suitable, and viable systems
WEB and Service Oriented Architecture based application testing
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience with performance and/or security testing.
Execution including functional testing, integration, and regression testing, database testing, user acceptance testing, reliability, performance and security testing particularly for web based UI front end applications
Minimum of two years in the following testing tools areas:
Knowledge to establish and execute automated regression tests using IBM Rational Functional
Tester
Soap UI, Load UI, Secure UI, HP Load Runner Professional software
Solid knowledge and working Experience in Java and scripting
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (Interim Secret acceptable)
Qualifications:
Prior DoD or Army working environment experience a plus
Experience/certification in one or more of the following services: Certified Software Test Professional and IBM Certified Solution Designer with Rational Functional Tester for Java
5 years of experience engineering, design and implementation in Software Test Professional relevant to position description
Knowledge of IA controls
Test tool automation experience
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Ability to create, maintain and automate test scripts for operational utilization
Ability to evaluate and report test results to ensure the operational effectiveness, suitability, and viability of systems
Strong troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills
Experience with Army IT Systems
