We are searching for a Senior Financial Analyst to be based in our downtown Chicago office of Emmi Solutions, conveniently located a few blocks from Union Station.
The Senior Financial Analyst will support Emmi Solutions/Wolters Kluwer. Emmi Solutions creates innovative, multimedia programs to help people make sense of complicated medical information and health decisions. These programs are prescribed to patients by doctors, hospitals, and healthcare plans. The Senior Financial Analyst will help to facilitate the corporate financial planning process. This position, located in downtown Chicago, Illinois, will partner with the business to facilitate planning discussions and activities to help meet the goals of our growing business. Responsibilities include supporting the monthly financial reporting and analysis function, forecasting specific areas within the business, and ad-hoc data and financial analysis on a needed basis. This position is expected to drive better financial insight and analysis into the company's key operational areas while simultaneously driving greater financial controls for the organization.
Key
Responsibilities:
Partner with key operational leaders, both within EMMI Solutions and within WK business units. The candidate will succeed by exhibiting astute financial acumen within EMMI Solutions and to WK Corporate.
Manage the month-end financial reporting process. This will consist of preliminary report generation to ensure accurate closing of monthly financials and post close in depth financial reporting with respect to revenue, expense and headcount.
Help prepare, review and maintain monthly and quarterly financial projections for local leadership and WK Corporate.
Provide operational and business insight for key metrics across multiple functional areas.
Analyze, track and report all costs associated with internally developed software projects to ensure each project is on time, budget, and in compliance with corporate policy.
Lead strategic initiatives that drive growth and operational improvements.
Foster cross-functional relationships and assist in ad-hoc analyses of complex business issues including product price modeling, sales commission structures, and overhead cost allocation.
Various ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Director.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
3 years minimum experience in FP&A with demonstrated increasing responsibility, 5-8 years of corporate FP&A experience preferred.
Microsoft Office experience with strong modeling skills in Microsoft Excel is required. (Candidates that possess a Microsoft Excel Expert certification are preferred.)
Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.
A cognitive understanding of the differences, process flow between and requirements of the FP&A and Accounting functions.
Ability to interact effectively using a client service approach with all levels of an organization.
A self-starter with a demonstrable ability to drive fresh thinking and perspective in an entrepreneurial culture.
Possess an adaptive approach to workflow and exhibit a sustainable pace when uncertainty and workload increase.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
