Technical Project Manager
Job Description Role:
Technical Project Manager Looking for a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead a large program.
The TPM is responsible for setting up the program and sub-projects, incorporating Agile/Scrum practices where appropriate, following their progress, and facilitating the closure of issues as they are escalated to the program level.
They coordinate efforts amongst the various sub-projects, IT organizations, and outside vendors, as well as develop effective schedules and suggest action items that still need to be complete to successfully complete the overall program.
In addition to these tasks, the TPM will identify and track technical issues, facilitating the implementation of solutions in a prompt manner.
They must effectively communicate program status and suggest changes to use program resources more efficiently.
The TPM will propose solutions to technical constraints using their technical expertise and experience, as well as provide expertise for escalated quality problems, and anticipate bottlenecks in the development cycle.
Additionally, the TPM will identify technical impacts on the organization as they relate to business requirements.
They help define program strategies, regularly participate in project and executive level meetings to present program progress, and share program information with other stakeholders in the organization.
Key Expectations:
Defining program workstreams with the business and owning/tracking the program with scheduled status updates Demonstrating excellent leadership skills by getting out in front of the program and driving/ facilitating releases across various a well-defined and agreed upon delivery map Managing program and project team(s) with the ability to facilitate project and/or scrum/standup calls Identifying and addressing technical challenges with the technical team and articulating technical implications to business users/stakeholders Managing program budget, financial forecasting, budget planning, capital and operating costs expenditures Partnering effectively with other teams within and outside of the Americas technical BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree and/or master's degree in technology is preferred 10
years experience in technology project coordination and delivery distributed multi-tier applications 2
years experience managing agile software projects across multiple and geographically distributed teams SaaS product or large scale platform experience Experience with both internal and external consumers of services and data Recent experience leading one or more digital transformations within large Enterprises Be able to thrive in an ambiguous environment - where change is the only constant Detailed oriented to ensure that program success is paramount Strong verbal and communication skills Strong analytical skills and an out of the box thinker Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work in a very rapidly changing environment Ability to work well with clients and juggle competing demands Results oriented and with a strong customer focus PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Certified Scrum Master/ Certified Project Manager with 2
experience in running scrums, sprint grooming & planning, and reviewing agile project metrics CRE (Commercial Real Estate) and/or VAS (Value-Added Service) experience highly preferred Prior experience in delivering web based systems using web based programming technologies Experience delivering mobile device software and/or applications is highly preferred Adept with PM tools including MS Office, MS Project, Visio, JIRA, SharePoint.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
