Senior Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for: Develop and test statistical model specifications to meet client needs. Apply independent judgment in creating new statistical models, analyzing and connecting model results to client's business questions and hypotheses. Lead problem-solving for various clients & industry verticals and perform complex mathematical formulations to solve large scale business problems and conduct time-series analysis. Conduct data processing to prepare for marketing mix analysis, based on understanding of client needs for quantitative analysis of marketing effectiveness. Setup projects by designing, coding or compiling reader programs that did not exist previously. Write SAS code to read, audit and review raw input data and create meaningful data transformations to normalize, align and scale data to address specifics of a client's business. Exercise discretion in deciding whether additional model runs are required, and determine if financial performance measures are reasonable. Independently prepare deliverables and presentation decks to report results to clients. Describe analysis results, interpret insights and discuss managerial implications with client directly. Oversee and provide feedback on modeling progress and deliverables preparation by junior team members. Directly supervise 2 to 4 (Sr.) Analysts and indirectly supervise 4-6 (Sr.) Analysts and/or Managers. Train, provide direction to and review the work of off-shore modeling project teams, and manage projects from initiation to implementation. Advise Software Engineering on refinement of software and web services tools. Travel domestically up to 4 times per year for 2-3 days per trip. Involves the opportunity to telecommute from home from within the Chicago area up to 1 day per week, as feasible. Tools used include: SAS, SQL, Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. FOR THIS ROLE, WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE: Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in operations research, industrial or manufacturing systems engineering, electrical engineering, statistics, econometrics, mathematics, analytics or related quantitative field that involves substantial course work in complex data modeling and statistical analysis (foreign equivalent degree acceptable), plus 2 years of experience in complex data modeling and statistical analysis using large and complex data (point-of-sale, customer-level and/or marketing data) (would also accept a bachelor's degree plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressively responsibleexperience). Any level of experience in and/or knowledge of: development and application of applied statistical and quantitative analysis and modeling; research design using statistical software and other analytical tools, regression analysis, SAS programming, and SQL; performing mathematical formulations to solve business problems and conduct time-series analysis; writing SAS code to read, audit and review raw input data and create meaningful data transformations to normalize, align and scale data to address specifics of a client's business; training, providing direction to and reviewing the work of junior analysts and special project teams; managing clients and projects from initiation to implementation; and use of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. Must be willing to travel domestically up to 4 times per year for 2-3 days per trip. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
