Manager of Compensation

Ajilon is currently seeking a Compensation Manager with 6 or more years of experience for a full-time position in the Roscoe Village area of Chicago, IL with an established nonprofit organization offering opportunities for growth and flexible work hours.

You will be a part of the Talent Management Team and directly reporting to the Director of Benefits and Compensation. Responsibilities will include overseeing compensation programs, salary administration planning, conducting ad-hoc surveys and market research and ensuring compensation plans adhere to government rules and regulations.


  • Play a main role in the design and administration of base pay and incentive programs, including financial modeling, while also ensuring functions align with business needs and expectations
  • Develop a Salary Administration Plan and maintain HRIS compensation module
  • Manage compensation surveys and analysis, including data collection, report running, matching jobs, and interfacing with survey vendors
  • Conduct ad-hoc surveys and market research to stay up-to-date with trends and monitor market-sensitive job
  • Interpret and provide insights of various data analysis and present to leadership in an effective manner to influence decision making
  • Partner with Talent Management colleagues to educate and provide direction of the compensation activities, programs, policies and year-end processes
  • Develop and Implement training programs for supervisors related to compensation regulations (FLSA, salary quotas, etc.)


  • Minimum 6 years of related work experience, design of variable pay programs required
  • Previous experience with HRIS, ADP Workforce Now required
  • Not-for-Profit healthcare experience desired
  • Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, Finance, or Business Administration required, Masters Degree Preferred


  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication with strong presentation skills
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret data, build spreadsheets and review results, making strategic recommendations

Employment Type:Full-Time, Direct Hire

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
