Search Manager

Job Description Overview: Performics is looking for a Search Manager to join the Spark Foundry, Performance Media team. The role of the Search Manager is to be the day-to-day steward of search media for assigned brands responsible for leading search campaign development, activation and innovation. The Search Manager is expected to apply their search mastery to deliver against the clients' goals. The Search Manager will work closely with their Account Director in the development and communication of all search strategy while owning tactical execution. In addition, the Search Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of the Search Analyst, including both project management to ensure timely delivery of all tasks and career development. Role Objectives: o Responsible for gathering the research and data needed to formulate tactical plan development and recommendation for client delivery with oversight from AMD o Provide direction to Analyst for purposes of campaign structure and keyword and ad copy development o Responsible for presenting recommendation, soliciting feedback and directing analyst to apply client feedback to keyword and copy proposal prior to client signoff o Actively contribute to account strategy, including annual budget development, KPIs, partner selection, new tactics, and tracking industry developments. o Ultimate oversight for all day to day budget and billing activity (pacing, Prisma management, draft billing, accuracy of budgets vs. Strategy flowcharts) o Upon campaign approval, responsible for QA of flowchart and buys in Prisma o Review paperwork necessary for purchase authorization and ensure vendor counter signature is received o Primary party responsible for QA of trafficked approved plan into search engines (keywords, ad copy, extensions) o Primary party responsible for QA of all campaign components prior to launch (dayparting, bids, budget, targeting parameters) o Responsible for Analyst's management of campaign budgets, pacing and bid adjustments o Responsible for recommending campaign adjustments based on performance trends o Responsible for client communication of performance and competitive landscape o Development and recommendation of optimizations and/or testing plans (e.g. search query reports, negative keyword maintenance, keyword overlap, testing implementation) o Responsible for campaign reporting and developing strategic insights with clear actionable items o Responsible for building clear, concise and cohesive quantitative analyses inclusive of strong data visualization o Lead client status and reporting calls, including presentation of reporting o Primary contact for resolving all billing discrepancies in partnership with client strategy and billing reconciliation team o Mastery of all relevant tools for reporting, analytics and competitive analysis - bid management platforms, Benchtools, Google Trends o Serve as lead for training of new Search Analysts and be a resource for ad hoc questions o Lead client relationship with day to day contact and partner agencies (where applicable) by ensuring a seamless communication process o Responsible for timely response to daily communication regarding campaign level inquiries (client, vendors, internal o Maintain professional, productive rapport with sales representatives/media vendors o Demonstrate creativity and agility when problem solving prior to elevation to Associate Director o Work closely with Analyst to establish priorities and manage workload o Partner with AMD to ensure upcoming deliverables are being proactively addressed o Timely delivery of all work is required o Successful completion of training programs and requisite certifications o Primary party responsible for pulling data and research components needed for new business pitches o Contribute to development of slides for use in new business pitches o Responsible for contributing to development of agency level POVs on industry happenings. Primary party responsible for customization of agency POVs for individual clients. Qualifications o Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university o At least 3+ years of search experience o Demonstrates experience buying and planning across multiple platforms to include Google, Bing, Oath, etc. o Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills o Presentation skills are a must o Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills o Excellent project management and organization skills o Ability to work successfully with teams on multiple projects under tight deadlines o Demonstrated expertise in core MS Excel functions (vlookup, pivot tables, data visualization) o Mastery of search engines and platforms o Proven leadership ability o Demonstrates initiative/"hunger" o Collaborative approach/attitude

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
