23307BR Job Description CDM Smith is looking to add a process engineer to assist in design projects of various complexities focused within the Water Reclamation market sector. As a member of our team based in either our Chicago or Lisle, IL office, you would contribute to CDM Smith's vision by: Serving as Project Engineer on design projects of varying scope (wastewater treatment facilities, collection systems, pump stations, etc.). - Support the Project Manager to drive the technical approach and design of projects. - Independently make decisions on engineering/scientific problems and methods. - Development of engineering calculations and establishing process design criteria. - Develop technical specifications and drawing sets. - Apply best practices that improve our delivery and/or quality. - Utilize the use of biological process design software models such as GPS-X and BioWin. Working within a multidiscipline design team of 5-10 staff including coordination with junior process engineers and drafters. Supporting new business development by contributing to strategic planning, marketing, and business operations planning for current and prospective clients in the City of Chicago, its surrounding suburbs, and northwest Indiana. Attending conferences, symposia, etc. to improve CDM Smith's visibility in the wastewater market in conjunction with efforts to support new business development. Contributing to CDM Smith's Technical Knowledge Management (TKM) by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc. Providing mentorship to junior staff through the structure of the project team and formal mentorship pairing(s). Ensuring that CDM Smith policies and best practices are followed on all designs Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or chemical engineering. Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in states where an EIT is not obtainable. Experience: 5 years of related experience. Travel: Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
