Program Manager Healthcare

Job Summary AECOM is seeking a highly talented Program Manager - Healthcare for our Chicago, IL location. Program Director with experience in healthcare projects and programs, with an emphasis on MEP project management and leading teams for renovation and ground-up construction work. PM will manage various projects with multiple phases from pre-bidding to close-out. Responsible for construction contract administration, budget control, scheduling, project close-out, end user satisfaction, and financial outcome of assigned construction projects. Manages all duties associated with the coordination of pre-construction tasks, contractual requirements, maintaining drawing sets, project specifications, and close-out documents. Preferred experience with major healthcare programs including behavorial health projects and trauma centers Typical Responsibilities: Experience in leadership roles for capital improvement programs to include design and construction management efforts Manages all duties associated with the coordination of pre-construction tasks, contractual requirements, maintaining drawing sets, project specifications, and close-out documents. May assign assistant project manager and/or project managers to assist with managing and coordinating large and complex projects. Ensures deadlines and cost targets are met, and maintains required project documentation. Reviews all architectural and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) drawings for accuracy, compliance issues, equipment selection, energy consumption, controls and automation, Infection control risk assessment (ICRA), Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) and logistical concerns. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Develops Request for Proposals (RFPs) for Construction Managers (CMs), General Contractors (GCs) and MEP Contractors. Verifies new CMs, GCs and MEP Contractors to include references, interviews, qualifications, and healthcare experience. Supports Main Hospital Campus Facilities Maintenance and Repairs departments with regards to MEP Systems Expertise. Assists in Department of Health (DOH) documentation and inspections. Responsible for construction billings, cash flow reports, purchasing materials, change orders, project data entry in Unifier. Organizes submittal logs, field inspections, and close-out and warranty Review. Responsible for Site Safety and Hospital Policies, 30-Hour OSHA Certification. Ensures adherence to Site Safety and Hospital Policies as well as Department goals and objectives. Coordinates and communicates with the institution's Shop Supervisors to ensure that the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems are maintained and meets or exceeds the Hospital Standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Monitor project completion within budget, schedule, and conformance with client standards, design program, and construction documents Proactively manage and resolve project conflicts resulting from scheduling and budgeting/cost compliance conflicts, unforeseen conditions, owner requested changes, and user group requests. Effective negotiation and dispute resolution skills are a must Expected to potentially work under Senior Program Director on major program assignments. Requisition/Vacancy No. 209664BR Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree Mechanical in Electrical Engineering + 4 years of project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Experience with various delivery methods Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel required. Ability to analyze MEP drawings for efficiency and accuracy Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), detail orientation, organizational, analytical, project management, customer service, and multitasking skills Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineering (PE) License 30-Hour OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) Certification 6-8 years of experience in Healthcare construction management Behavioral healthcare and trauma center experience Knowledge of Unifier and BIM 360, budget/scheduling/reporting
