Senior Business Analyst

    The Sr.
    Business Analyst
    is a key member of the LEAN manufacturing organization, integral to supporting the James Hardie organization in achieving Company objectives.
    The scope of the role includes ownership of manufacturing efficiency analytics across James Hardie s North America business.
    In this role, the incumbent will drive meaningful process and analytic improvements, and will also serve as a key business partner for various stakeholders across the manufacturing organization.
    The role offers the opportunity to interact with senior leadership, as well as an opportunity to gather cross-functional exposure.

    Position Responsibilities

    Provide business facing support for LEAN initiatives (50%):

    • Serve as the central owner of LEAN initiative reporting working across analyst community to drive efficiencies and maximize value to the business
    • Work cross-functionally to ensure connectivity on reporting metrics across all critical players
    • Provide meaningful business insight based on quality variance analysis
    • Track and understand macro and micro influencers to generate meaningful assumptions
    • Develop, prepare and analyze short-range and long-range metric tracking models

    Drive improvement projects to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of LEAN initiatives (40%):

    • Evolve reporting methodology to deliver improved accuracy based on key business drivers.
    • Continuously improve variance analysis to advance the quality of reporting and insights to the business.
    • Drive improvement and standardization of reporting including identifying and executing opportunities for self-service tools.

    Support mission-critical ad hoc reporting and analysis to drive management decision-making (10%):

    • Proactively use business acumen to deep dive into analytic findings, educating the business on risks and opportunities.
    • Tie operational targets and improvements back to financial metrics and returns that align with costing methodologies
    • Support business initiatives through analysis and modeling as needed.

    Education/Experience

    • Bachelor s Degree
    • Demonstrated aptitude with Tableau or comparable software packages strongly preferred
    • 4 5 years of business analysis experience including a heavy focus on operational performance metrics; 2 years experience within the manufacturing industry preferred
    • Experience building and managing large data models data manipulation, advanced math and statistical modeling, preferred

    Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
